International Fees

Fees beyond the minimum registration period
Research programmes that commenced on or after 01 August 2024
Full tuition fees are payable in every year of registration, with exceptions permitted through a written case to the Associate Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Postgraduate Research Studies and Researcher Development).
Research programmes that commenced before 01 August 2024
Either:
- the appropriate full-time fee – if you are continuing to receive supervision and using University facilities on a full-time basis.
- a Continuation Fee of £663 for your 2025/6 session – if you are continuing to receive supervision but you are no longer using University facilities.
- a Continuation Fee of £693 for your 2026/7 session – if you are continuing to receive supervision but you are no longer using University facilities.
If you submit your thesis within three months of your minimum registration date, you will be refunded two thirds of your Continuation Fee, providing that this has been paid in full. No refunds will be made for submissions after this date.
The University has the discretion to decide the appropriate fee rate that will be applied after the minimum registration period has elapsed. This will be on the basis of information provided by the relevant academic School.
Research Expenses
If your research project requires research expenses, these are normally payable in each year of your minimum registration period (3 years for full-time and 4 years for part-time) unless otherwise specified in your offer of admission.
