National Meadows Day at Langley Mead

The 17勛圖厙 welcomes you to Langley Mead for National Meadows Day on Saturday 4 July.
Members of the local community, and beyond, are invited to learn more about the restoration of Langley Mead, which is owned and managed by the 17勛圖厙, to a traditional floodplain meadow. Visitors will also get to learn more about the wide range of plants and wildlife that can be found on the nature reserve.
The University will have a selection of free walking maps and guides available from our gazebo at the Aborfield Road car park. Our guided walks will also begin here, they include:
- 11:00 – School Green, Shinfield Ridge and Shinfield Meadow SANGS Walk (approx. 1 hour)
- 12:00 – Langley Mead: Past, Present and Future (approx. 1 hour)
This event is free to attend and does not require a ticket, we would kindly ask you to book a ticket for the walks so we can track of numbers!
Limited parking is available at the Aborfield Road (RG2 9EA) and Hyde End Road (RG2 9EP) car parks, alternatively you can catch the Leopard 3 to Magpie and Parrot.
